Vino di Anna Bianco Vigna Nave

In 2015 we purchased the Vigna Nave vineyard, located at 1200 metres in the Contrade Nave, between Randazzo and Bronte from Salvo Foti. This vineyard has been an important part of our Bianco wine to date.

From 2015 we have decided to vinify this vineyard separately from the Grecanico and other indigenious grape varieties found in our old vineyards (Catarratto, Carricante, Minnella Bianco) to make its own unique cuvee.

We plan to bottle the 2015 Vigna Nave Bianco in Spring 2018.

Vino di Anna Bianco 2014

A field blend of Grecanico, Carricante and other indigenous white grape varieties, sourced from numerous old vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. A small amount of Malvasia from the island of Salina was also added this year for extra aromatics. The grapes were hand harvested and pressed immediately as whole bunches into stainless steel. Fermentation was spontaneous. The wine was left on light lees for 8 months prior to bottling in June. It was bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

Citrus, lime aromas with undertones of white flowers and white peach. A taut, fresh palate withmouthwatering acidity and minerality.

Vino di Anna Bianco 2013

A field blend of Grecanico, Carricante, Riesling, and other indigenous white grape varieties, sourced from numerous old vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. The grapes were hand harvested and pressed immediately. Fermentation was spontaneous. The wine was left on light lees for 10 months prior to bottling. It was bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

Attractive floral and citrus aromas are coupled with a refreshing acidity and salty, saline notes arising from the old volcanic soils.
