Di colore paglierino tenue, questo vino presenta attraenti note agrumate di limone e lime, abbinate a fiori bianchi. Al palato è asciutto e fresco con abbondanti sentori di pompelmo e una sottostante mineralità e sapidità..

Palmento Bianco è un blend di uve bianche autoctone, siciliane, lavorate biologicamente, coltivate principalmente sulle pendici settentrionali dell’Etna, Sicilia. Tutte le uve sono state raccolte a mano da diverse vigne. L’annata 2021 è composto per il 40% da Carricante, coltivato in contrada Crasà.

Le uve sono state pressate a grappolo intero in una grande botte di rovere usata dove la fermentazione è avvenuta in maniera del tutto spontanea. Anche le uve di Catarratto sono state pressate a grappolo intero e fatte fermentare in botti di legno di castagno. Il Grillo (30%) è stato fatto macerato per una settimana sulle bucce e poi pressato in una grande botte di castagno. I vari mosti sono stati fatti fermentare a secco, hanno svolto la fermentazione malolattica e sono stati poi assemblati a fine novembre. Il vino finito è rimasto sulle fecce fini ed è stato imbottigliato nel febbraio 2022 senza chiarifica né filtrazione.

Mid straw in colour, this wine has attractive white floral aromas coupled with citrus notes of lemon and lime. It is crisp and dry on the palate, with a fresh acidity, balanced by grapefruit flavours and an underlying salty, minerality.

Palmento Bianco is a field blend of organically grown, indigenous Sicilian white grapes, mainly grown high on the northern slopes of Mt Etna, Sicily. All the fruit was hand harvested from different vineyards during the month of September. The Catarratto, Insolia and Grillo grapes were harvested first, and whole bunch pressed immediately into stainless steel. The Grecanico grapes, along with small quantities of Minnella Bianca and Carricante were harvested towards the end of September.

Half of these grapes were macerated on skins for 7 days. Alcoholic fermentation was spontaneous and proceeded without temperature control. The various fermenting musts were blended at the end of October. The finished wine underwent malolactic fermentation and remained on light lees for 5 months before it was bottled without fining or filtration in mid March 2021.

Palmento Bianco wine is a field blend of organically grown, indigenous grapes from the north face of Mt Etna, Sicily.  The grapes were hand harvested from different old bush vine vineyards over several days during the month of September.  The Catarratto (50% of the blend) was whole bunch pressed immediately and fermented in stainless steel. So too were the mixed cassettes of Minnella Bianco, Carricante and Insolia (approximately 10% of the final blend).  The Grecanico Dorato (40%) was macerated on skins for 8 days and then pressed and blended with the other fermenting musts. Alcoholic fermentation was spontaneous and without temperature control.  The finished wine underwent malolactic fermentation and remained on light lees for 10 months before it was bottled without fining or filtration.

Golden in colour reflecting the period of maceration on the skins of the Grecanico, this wine has attractive white peach and grapefruit aromas and flavours.  The palate is fresh and flavoursome with lively acidity and distinct mineral notes from the volcanic soils.

Di colore paglierino medio, questo vino ha aromi attraenti di lime, limoni e pesca bianca. Al palato risulta secco con note di agrumi maturi, una vivace acidità e una buona lunghezza. Il vino mostra una mineralità e una sapidità di fondo caratteristiche delle uve coltivate su terreni vulcanici.

Questo vino è ottenuto da uve bianche autoctone da agricoltura biologica; si tratta prevalentemente Grecanico (70%), proveniente da diversi piccoli vigneti posti sulla parete nord dell’Etna. Le uve sono state raccolte a mano da questi vecchi vigneti durante la terza settimana di settembre. L’età media delle viti è di 80 anni. Le altitudini dei vigneti variano da 800 a 1100 metri sul livello del mare. I suoli sono basaltici; grigio scuro, sabbiosi e rocciosi, ad alto contenuto minerale.

La maggior parte del Grecanico, di cui la stragrande maggioranza è Grecanico Dorato, è stato macerato per una settimana sulle bucce e veniva pigiato più volte. Il resto delle uve, un blend di vitigni autoctoni (Carricante, Minnella Bianca, Insolia), sono state pigiate a grappolo intero in una vecchia botte di legno da 20 hl. La fermentazione è stata spontanea senza controllo della temperatura. Il vino ha svolto la fermentazione malolattica ed è stato lasciato sulle fecce fini per 12 mesi prima dell’imbottigliamento avvenuto nel dicembre 2021, senza chiarifica o filtrazione.

Mid straw in colour, this wine has lively citrus aromas of grapefruit, coupled with white and yellow peach.  More medium body in style than the austere “Vino di Anna Bianco 2019”, it is complex, full of flavour and has an underlying minerality and sapidity characteristic of grapes grown on volcanic soils.

Predominantly made from old bush vine Grecanico, this wine is the third “Vino di Anna Bianco “G” and is made from our best Grecanico.  Organically grown Grecanico grapes were hand harvested from numerous old vineyards, situated high on the north face of Mt Etna, during the second half of September.  The average age of the vines is 80 years old and the altitude of the vineyards is between 800-1100 metres above sea level.  Half the Grecanico was macerated for one week on skins, being foot trodden several times. The rest of the fruit was whole bunch pressed together with some Carricante from Milo and the small quantity of grapes harvested from our vineyard in Contrada Nave (NW Etna).

Vino di Anna Bianco “G” 2016 is the second 100% Grecanico white wine we have made. Organically grown Grecanico grapes were hand harvested from numerous old vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna during the second half of September. The average age of the vines is 60 years old. The grapes were whole bunch pressed into a small stainless steel tank. No SO2 was added. Fermentation was spontaneous and the temperature was not controlled. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation. It was left on light lees for 12 months prior to bottling in November 2017. A miniscule amount of SO2 was added prior to bottling. The wine was not fined or filtered.

Pale straw in colour, this wine has zingy, citrus notes of limes and grapefruit. The palate is fresh and lively, with a high acidity. The citrus flavours are coupled with white flowers and an underlying minerality and sapidity, arising from the volcanic soils.

Vino di Anna Bianco “G” is a small bottling (600 bottles in total) of organically grown Grecanico. Grapes were hand harvested from numerous old vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. They were whole bunch pressed into stainless steel. No SO2 was added. Fermentation was spontaneous. The wine was left on light lees for 9 months prior to bottling in July. The wine was bottled and labelled by hand, un-fined and unfiltered.

Pale golden in colour with tropical notes (white peach, apricot) coupled with white flowers. Light-medium in body, with flavours of yellow apples and ripe citrus with an underlying minerality typical of whites from Etna.

Di colore limone pallido, questo vino ha aromi di agrumi abbinati a pesca bianca e pera essiccata. E’ secco, con elevata acidità, al palato risulta teso e minerale. Ha una spina dorsale fine e materica che si svilupperà con l’invecchiamento in bottiglia..

Questo vino è un blend di uve bianche coltivate biodinamicamente. Una parte proviene dalla vigna di contrada Nave, sul versante nord-occidentale dell’Etna, il Carricante invece è di contrada Caselle, sulle pendici orientali dell’Etna, nei pressi di Milo.La “Vigna Nave” della tenuta si trova tra i 1100 – 1200 metri di altitudine, sul versante nord-occidentale dell’Etna, sopra il paese di Maletto. Qui i terreni sono sabbiosi, vulcanici, di colore grigiastro. Il Carricante da agricoltura biologica proviene dall’altra parte del vulcano, a 750 metri di altitudine, dove i suoli sono profondi, di sabbia vulcanica grigio scuro/nera.

Entrambi i vigneti sono stati vendemmiati a mano all’inizio di ottobre 2020 e le uve sono state pressate direttamente, a grappolo intero, in una grande botte di legno usata. La fermentazione è stata condotta da lieviti indigeni senza controllo della temperatura. Il vino ha svolto la fermentazione malolattica. È rimasto sulle fecce fini per 11 mesi prima di essere imbottigliato senza chiarifica né filtrazione.

Pale lemon in colour, this wine has citrus aromas coupled with green apple and white flowers.  It is dry, with high acidity, resulting in a taut and mineral palate.  It has a fine, textural backbone which will develop with bottle age.

This wine is a blend of organically grown, indigenous white grapes from Mt Etna; Grecanico, Catarratto, Minella Bianca and Carricante.  All of the grapes are grown at high altitude on old bush vines.  They were hand harvested, direct pressed, as whole bunches, and fermented together in a small stainless steel tank. Fermentation was conducted by indigenous yeasts without temperature control. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation.  It remained on fine lees for 8 months before being bottled without clarification and fining in June 2020.

In 2015, Eric and Anna purchased a small vineyard at 1200 metres of altitude, planted solely to white grapes, in Contrada Nave, on the NW side of Mt Etna.  This wine is a blend of grapes from that high vineyard, fermented together with old bush vine Grecanico and Carricante sourced from their vineyards on the northern slopes of Mt Etna.  All the grapes were hand harvested and immediately whole bunched pressed into a 20hl used oak cask.  Fermentation was conducted by indigenous yeasts without temperature control. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation.  It remained on fine lees for 8 months in the 20hl oak cask before being bottled without clarification, fining.

A field blend of Grecanico, Carricante and other indigenous white grape varieties, sourced from numerous old vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. A small amount of Malvasia from the island of Salina was also added this year for extra aromatics. The grapes were hand harvested and pressed immediately as whole bunches into stainless steel. Fermentation was spontaneous. The wine was left on light lees for 8 months prior to bottling in June. It was bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

Citrus, lime aromas with undertones of white flowers and white peach. A taut, fresh palate withmouthwatering acidity and minerality.

Attractive floral and citrus aromas are coupled with a refreshing acidity and salty, saline notes arising from the old volcanic soils.
